Africa’s Luxurious Accommodation
Your “chamber” for the night is lush, impeccable, best equipped and perfectly designed. You are looking around and wondering: Is this a tent? In each of the camps where we stay, the word “tent” is a lamentable, inadequate description.
Situated in the shade, these canvas sanctuaries are reminiscent of the salad days of the safari – rustic, romantic and fine. They are luxurious in the classic sense but deeply rooted in this country’s culture.
The large rooms, made of local stone and wood, feature four-poster beds, colorful African artifacts, ethnic characteristics, Chesterfield sofas and Victorian antiques.
There is a private terrace outside: a front row seat for the soothing beauty of nature. Shrouded in elegance, surrounded by wilderness – adventurers of yesteryear such as Hemingway, Roosevelt and Blixen would feel at home here.
